[REPORTED]DCS often freezes after the debriefing screen

The program freezes but does not crash and doesn't produce any logs I can find. When this happens DCS needs to be forced closed by alt+ctrl+delete. It appears this only happens when flying a single player mission where a lot of events occur in the log, otherwise I can find no pattern. It does not happen after simple missions. This is using open beta, and has been going on through several versions.

 

 

Specs i7 7700, 64 gb ram, RTX 2080ti, dcs is on an SSD. Also DCS is being run in administrator mode.

Pagefile fixed and big enough (yep, even with 64GB of RAM)?

Have the same issue like OP's. Have 32GB RAM and pagefile of 5GB. Is that too small for DCS?

 

 

If so: ain't there a chance ED could change implementation so it is not needed to have 16 or even 32GB pagefile?

 

 

btw: I'm using stable and it's an old issue here too.

Please add your dcs log we may see some clues in it.

Sorry I should have said

 

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Logs

 

you will see a file called dcs.

 

either zip it or change it from .log to .txt and attach it here

I do not see anything obvious, the log just seems to stop at main menu

 

I would suggest following my crash advice in my signature below to see if it helps.

 

Ensure windows and your gpu driver are up to date also.

Set it higher, 16GB or so or even 32GB if you have the room...

Just played the track... Game "hangs" on loading after the debrief screen, UI music still playing correctly though.
