"When performing a forced landing, fly the aircraft as far into the crash as possible." - Bob Hoover.

The JF-17 is not better than the F-16; it's different. It's how you fly that counts.

"An average aircraft with a skilled pilot, will out-perform the superior aircraft with an average pilot."

There is CM-400AKG, but we are not getting it for now. I like to think it might be possible as a cherry on top with Block II when the ballistic flight model is done:)

Tiger what you miss are weapons that PAF uses but Deka has not modeled probably because they have the proper access to the data for the Chinese weapons certified for the airframe. Things like the Brazilian MAR-1 anti radiation missile the Turkish ASELPOD the REK bomb glide kit, etc

There are pictures of mockups from the original development with PL-11 but that’s it. You can mod it with Sparrow and it would be pretty close to how the PL-11/licensed Aspide would perform

I know that they are still working on asymmetric loading of the wing tanks but do we know if there are going to be any further changes to what can be equipped at each weapon station? Like will we be able to equip more SD/LD-10s on the inboard pylons, etc.?

No it’s to prevent smoke from getting into the engine, same situation with C-701. The rockets are low smoke so they can go inboard.

If someone really wants them there is a case to be made for making a F-7 fuel tank available on the centerline, but I doubt many people would use it even if we got it.

Also I forgot GB-500, it was listed on Deka’s original pay load list. But I haven’t seen anyone miss it or ask where it so I don’t think many people want it anyways

Same reason Flankers only can carry 2 ETs, the missile and its pylon is designed for rail launches. It would at least require a new pylon or some way to adapt the missile.

Don’t ask me what makes the AMRAAM so special to fire in drop or rail, my guess is Raytheon just had the money to develop anything needed, they needed something that could replace AIM-7 but use Sidewinder rails
