Radio altimeter

Issues connected with radio altimeter:

- altimeter active at very high levels (over FL350 ...)

- value is not influenced by angle of bank nor angle of pitch

I believe the radar altimeter works even at high altitude. As to the angle of bank you should notice that the RA box on the HUD goes blank when it can’t receive a radar return. So when banked away from the ground and I assume pitched enough to be almost horizontal (never paid attention to it before) the box will go blank until it receives a return again from the ground (or another jet going under it).
