F-5E TIGER II pit

Recommended Posts

I made new textures for the DCS F-5E Tiger II cockpit.

These files can be downloaded from the user files section, and after unpacking/unzipping, can be copied in the Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Mods/aircraft/F-5E/Liveries/Cockpit_F-5E folder.

If after unpacking the files are not in a folder, please make a folder named F-5E TIGER II pit in the above mentioned directory, and place the files in there.

Or place the download in ...../saved games/DCS.openbeta/liveries/Cockpit_F-5E

Then in DCS, go to options (settings), select the SPECIAL tab, select F-5E and in customized Cockpit select F-5E TIGER II pit.

Just amazing, finally up to date quality textures.

Just a request if you're interested and doable anyway.

Could you maybe try, to reduce the scratches (maybe and increasing the variety) on the cockpit? Currently it's like having a tight blanket of the same identical scratches that even makes it hard to spot.

Hello Reckoner.

First, thank you for the reaction.

I already reduced the scratches in this cockpit mod from the default one.

I can reduce them more, or remove them all together, but I will do that as an optional file replacement, like I did on the A-10C WARTHOG pit forum page.

Variety will not work here very well, because it is a small repeating square.

I didn't want to bother you much just for me (but and also out of curiosity), so I played around a bit with the texture and I now I get what you mean that the square is too small to give variety.

In the end I opted for removing scratches all together since the problem, I guess not solvable by us, is the small size of the square and even reducing the scratches to let's say a single dot and small line will still keep the annoying repeating pattern. Bit of a shame :noexpression:

Obliviously I'll keep the edit just for me, hope you don't mind. If you want add the clean version, well I'll leave that to you :)

Updated the F-5E TIGER II pit to Version 1.11.

I only copied the F5E-CPT-RADAR-01 file from ED, into my MOD.

This worked for me in SP.

If there are problems in MP, then you may have to remove all lines with f5e-cpt-radar-01 in them.

Or put -- in front of the lines.
