Belbek Airbase live:

Belbek is now under threat of being taken over by Russians and I bet it will be today. Webcam seems calm so far and Ukrainian flags are still up.

EDIT: Somethings up! A BMP is pushing a truck blocking the road aside. 16:48

16:50 a BMP is ramming the front gate. Moments earlier something smudged the webcam. Still visible.

16:53 an ambulance arrived. I don't know the reason. The BMP was possibly ramming to get the ambulance in quicker. The gate was closed and a car was blocking it from the inside. The BMP did not enter after the gate was rammed and opened enough for the ambulance to pass. A jeep with a roof mounted MG also appeared briefly.

17:14 the camera was taken down by a group climbing to the post or whatever it was hanging on. At that moment some Russian troops were outside the gate just walking around basically. Lots of Ukrainian troops were formed up on the front yard of what looked like the HQ of the place. They were all standing there in a large square formation. Reporters kept running around the whole time.

You can still watch the last moment of the video.

Maj. Justin Robinson, 61st Fighter Squadron assistant director of operations, flies the 56th Operations Group flagship F-16 as he escorts Luke’s first F-35 to the base for its arrival on March 10. Typhoon, what a monster!

Not the best Documentary but still. "Potential nuclear accident" sensationalism about every 90 seconds bs.

Any other decent Docs about Russian subs out there?

Accidentally dropping or even exposing a reactor-rod to open air actually is a pretty bad scenario in terms of contamination (remember, you're dealing with a very high-radiation source), so handling the rods like they do here actually IS a potential nuclear accident every 90 seconds.

If that canister dropped and cracked, you'd have a rather bad case of contamination to deal with.

Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone.

I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.

Oh no i understand the seriousness of the reactor removal and etc etc, but the documentary was about 3/4 about the reactor or the dangers if something went wrong, and only 1/4 was about the actual Typhoon and the rest of the job to tear it down. I just wish they went into more detail about the rest of the Typhoon and teardown rather than dragging and padding the reactor work out so long.

Unfortunately with many of this documentaries, that is the way they are. I hate when there is a 1 hour show about aircraft X, but spend 45 minutes talking about the history of flight and everything but aircraft X.

^^So true.

They must have a really good info about the weapons the insurgents have, you don´t need even a stinger, a ZU 23 m.m. mounted on a toyota will put that pilots in a difficult place and time if they fly like that, even a stone on that 23 will be effective......¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

Well good info, they're fighting for over 3(?) years now, they seem to be knowing exactly what they do and what the rebels/terrorists/tourists/their people equipment is like

They haven't heard a single beep on their SPOs I guess

But let's stop here I guess. :poster_offtopic:

I remember seeing the Russian AF (in this very thread I guess) using their unguided rockets on the Su-25 in Georgia, damn those were different angles and altitudes! :pilotfly:

on a less capable plane (compared to the -29, guess that the -27 is the same tractor as the Su-25 in terms of maneuverability)

That's the one I meant:
