Pretty horrific :(

Do you know what that flame coming out the hatch is? Is it the fuel for the tank?

It's the cannon ammo cooking off. Sometimes it blows the whole turret off.

Some tanks are designed to vent ammo explosions out from a hatch at the top of the turret avoiding destroying the whole tank and killing the crew. T-55, T-62 were infamous for catching fire easily when hit. T-72's export models still don't provide protection up to modern standards as the footage shows (they are old tanks too). Common anti tank weapons pierce through the armour without much effort.

Cant tell if the guy running from behind the tank was part of the crew. lucky bastige nevertheless.

Hmm. I don't know why the other T-72s were just chilling around the tank and not taking cover.

Was at a Brazilian Air Force short live-fire demo yesterday. Unfortunately the low clouds didn't allow the F-5EM and A-1 (AMX) to do their run - the bombs wouldn't have the minimal 4-seconds airborne.

However, four A-29 (EMB-314) did a medium altitude bombing run, and two Mi-35M did two runs, first with the 23mm cannon, and a second one with rockets.

Excuse the crap photography skills and lack of zoom :music_whistling:

A-29 - "bombs gone!"

The explosion, detonated 6 meters underground. By the way, am I missing something or we don't really have any kind of delay for bombs or rockets in DCS/FC? I know the Il-2 series had that, but are we getting that any sooner? Can be quite useful if implemented

Mi-35M firing its canon. (PS: again, note tracers, not as clear as before)

I got lucky as hell and accidentally caught a shot of tracers mid-air :D So if you lads are ever caught wondering how 23mm shells REALLY look like in real life, here's what the camera says:
