ED broke liveries and they haven't fixed it for along time. Hopefully they will do it in the future.

I am not sure if it can be done in the lua file

It should definitely be fixed officially.

I didn’t get any integrity check errors with this fix.

I have noticed that this affects the projection of shadows on some objects like roofs of buildings, etc., but the improvement of the texture is so necessary that I prefer not to see shadows on the roofs than that frightening glow of the fuselage.

Unfortunately, no.

 

Also, should you get the feeling that it was fixed, simply check the date on the original file (provided you used something like OvGME and didn't delete the original file). If that file's date isn't very recent (like last patch recent) it wasn't fixed.

The fuselage gloss problem has not been corrected. We still need to modify the ab-212_lods_json file
