DCS will not start after installing F-14

Hello, trying to figure out whats going wrong and for me looking at the log file im not adept enough to find the root cause. I have had no problems with DCS launching and after purchasing the F14 at release. However, after updating to the open beta version prior to the most current I can no longer launch DCS with the F-14 installed. I have done 5 complete uninstall and reinstalls, completely wiped out the entire save game file directory and I still cannot launch DCS with the F-14 installed.

 

If I remove the module then everything is fine but as stated, with it installed DCS will not launch and just sits at the large DCS splash screen never going into the screen with all of the menu selections. I have attached my most current log file as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Outstanding your one of the extreme few who have picked up on my name cheers to that!

 

 

 

But on the serious note, thats the wierd part. So I have done a clean and repair after each of the 5 complete reinstalls. So I can do that, DCS will start just once but after I close it out and come back to it...bang, stuck on the initial DCS splash screen.

 

 

Now not sure if this is going to help any but seeing as its probably the one over asked question:

 

 

I9-9900K, Nvidia 2080, 64gigs memory so I am running no slouch of a system

Hi, I am not sure if I am interpreting the log correctly, but at one point it says it cannot find the coremods folder. Could you describe to me how you installed it, please? Could you also go into your main DCS install directory and check in both CoreMods and Mods aircraft folders, if there is an F-14 folder, and if, what size it has? Thank you.

Thanks for responding and hopefully this may help:

 

 

Installation has been within DCS available modules tab, CoreMods folder size shows at 5.30 gigs and the Mods folder shows as 2.92 gigs.

Thank you, unfortunately it does not make us any wiser, the folder sizes are correct, so it doesn't look like parts of the install missing.

 

 

What is the version number of your current open beta? It shows in the right bottom cornor in the main menu.

Version shows as 2.5.5.33552. I did had success using the Dcs launcher by Skatezilla but only selecting to run it with the VR off function. Rather wierd but the standard icon still no luck but using the launcher VR off seems to work.

 

 

If I do happen to figure out what it is and able to launch it normally I will post back in the event it happens to anyone else. But for the time being i'm comfortable doing it this way.
