Saw all these new models being worked on, thought I might join the party :)

I've always wanted a civilian AC in LOMAC, maybe you don't but here's what ill be adding to my LOMAC experience sooner or later.

I asked a while back about porting some models from FS but that was said to be a no go. So ill make my own.

Wow..that is some FANTASTIC work..I didn't know you had it in you! Truly, great job!

I appreciate this idea and model a lot, more than others perhaps, because I know the potential that can be done with this model.

Imagine, a whole new level of missions, one in which we have to escort a CIVILIAN airliners full of passengers from being intercepted by enemy fighters and such. Just having a civilian airliners makes the LOMAC world a whole nother' world.

Moreover, aside from BEING the objective in a mission, we could have these airliners simply flying around on routes across the Crimean, to help add to the immersion. Now, it isn't a matter of just locking and firing upon any target you see BVR, but now you have to actually ID your target to make sure you aren't shooting down a plane full of happy travel-goers!

Can Gmax export as .LOM?

I don't think so since .lom was strictly for lock on models, and the only tools to export it IIRC is the one posted on this site, which is for 3dmax. So i guess if someone out there is using gmax, after your done with the model, you can give it to someone who have 3dmax and let it export from there.

Well im glad you guys like it :)

Having a bit of trouble with the engines and the nose... hmm..

Ill show you what i mean. It looks all scrunched up for some reason. I think its because of the mesh smooth.

Also I tried skinning it but that didn't go so well, so I will have to call upon the help of one of the other modelers.

@ Disso

I like your ideas with the missions. A whole new level of immersion :)

It's still skinless.. but im seeking help with the skinning part.

Also there is no undercarriage/animations.

Do we want reverse thrusters?

Is it just me or does it look kinda small?

Here are a few in-game screenshots:

Ok ive got sort of a basic skin template done.. Looks a bit like the British Airways 737-200s. you know, the blue underbelly? :)

But its kinda custom to me.

I applied and moved it to the Bazar/TempTextures folder but it came out all retarded with extra colours that I didn't even add.

Which is quite disappointing >_<

So i have to wait till I can receive a bit more help from sensay Yeniceri lol
