barriedrew
Hi I have downloaded flamming cliffs v1.1 The installed appeared to work ok. When i try to launch the game the starforce activation trys to install. I get an error message. To install the app you must have admin privileges and then crashes back to desk top. I am the only user ( administrator ) on this vista 32 bit system and I have not had this problem with any other software. How do I get star force installed or by passed ? No very impressed. barriedrew
Highwayman-Ed
Welcome to the Lock On community first of all! There are known problems with Vista and Starforce, you should first try installing the 1.12b patch which has some fixes and introduced Vista compatability. If you're still having probelms, post back to the forum, and we'll steer you right. Intel i9-9900KF @5.2GHz MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon 32GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR3200 RAM MSI RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio 40" Panasonic TH-40DX600U @ 4K Pimax Vision 8K Plus / Oculus Rift CV1 / HTC Vive Gametrix JetSeat with SimShaker Windows 10 64 Bit Home Edition [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
barriedrew
Hi Tried the patch 1.12b but no change. I cannot launch the starforce installation. It says I must have admin priviledges. It then returns to the desktop. I am able to produce a large error report which means little to me. I hope flamming Cliffs is worth it as I had no problem with Lock On 1.02 Barrie
Highwayman-Ed
Try this and install the Vista drivers directly http://www.star-force.com/protection.phtml?c=83&id=957 I believe that you will need admin privalages in order to do the installation though, as you do for most driver installations in Vista. Even though you are the only user and the admin, you need to 'Run as Administrator' with some programs as they do not assume your privalidges when invoked by another process. If you're still having problems with the Starforce drivers, you can get support direct from Starfoce here: support@star-force.com Explain that you're trying to install Lock On Flaming Cliffs with Vista 32, and they'll help you out.
