Duel Monitors????

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I have seen photos of some of you guys with duel monitors. I was wondering how do you get that to work? Do you have to have the kind of monitors? I have a 32" HDTV monitor and a 15" monitor can I put these together like I see in the photos? I want to use the 32" for the cockpit view and the 15" so I can see my plane. Can I do this?

I've heard people doing this but I don't know if its true... maybe need to digg bit more or wait for someone who has such setup (if existing) to explain how he got it to work (if possible).

No longer active in DCS...

Dual

The game has nothing to do with it. Your video card needs to support it. Then you can have 2, 3, 4, whatever. But realize that it's still 1 channel. So if you have 4 monitors it would be the case where each monitor displays 1/4 of the screen. For example, if you want to display your view in your HDTV and then have the map showing on the monitor, that won't happen. That would require 2 channels which the games doesn't support (to my knowledge).

.. well you guys are right your video card has to support 2 monitors but lockon wont run on both of them. just one, your main one... and your second one is your desktop. what i do is i put ventrilo and my temperature stuff over there so i can see who is on ventrilo and what my temperatures are in game....

you enable it by plugging both monitors into your video card then you right click on your desktop go to properties then settings and it should be there but only grayed out...(if not restart computer with cables still plugged in) select it and then check the box that says extend my windows desktop onto this monitor.... and hit apply and BOOM second monitor.... i have used mine for 2 years now and no performance loss because the video card is built for it.

Hi Guys.

This maybe old news so please ignore if so:

Matrox 3head 2 go

http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/gxm/products/th2go/digital/home.php

Havn't found any way to export just the MFDs to seperate monitor I would (allmost) give my right arm for such utility. At least a dual monitor setup for Lock-on streched via the Videocard does work both horisontal and vertical setup, at least on the ATI 9600 with catalyst drivers.

LUA exports for "glas panels" exists for Lock-On as an utility thats hock up to "F4Glas" Falcon Utility via LUA export modification script, only single engine gauges defined there. www.simmeters.com is another option

check also http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=119452 with a several links in the topic
