Hoggorm
Hi, Can I train as a RIO when I have no pilot, or is a pilot required? I'd like to learn the radar and system before joining multiplayer... Thank you
Andysim212
you can jump to the RIO Seat and the (Iceman) AI will take over and fly for you. He cant follow waypoints but you can use the same menu you use for jester to ask him to change headings/speed and altitude. You can then sit and practice with the RIO station. He cant dogfight though so don't do it in combat :)

elaintahra
I can fly for you. I'm 15 hours in as piloting so newbie, but wouldn't mind doing some COOP since my friends won't buy the plane
Hoggorm
I can fly for you. I'm 15 hours in as piloting so newbie, but wouldn't mind doing some COOP since my friends won't buy the plane Thank you for the offer, however I already have a pilot to fly me. I was mostly interested in training in the RIO position on my own when he is not available. Maybe someone else could be interested in flying with you? lucky-hendrix
In the RIO training mission, the WOW switch is by passed allowing to have the radar ON on the ground. Is there anyway to do that ourselves in the mission editor ?
IronMike
In the RIO training mission, the WOW switch is by passed allowing to have the radar ON on the ground. Is there anyway to do that ourselves in the mission editor ? unfortunately no. The mission is however structured so that you can train at the end as long as you would like. Karon
I'm a bit late to the discussion, but on the matter of RIO training offline / as single player, would this help?
