but isn't LShift-U Salute? Or was that only pre SC?

NonSC - Salute makes gesture and launches you.

SC - Salute is just gesture, to launch you need LShift+U.

Edit: Scratch that! Just tested:

Stennis - Salute does nothing, LShift+U does salute gesture then launches you.

Supercarrier - Salute (no gesture) signals the ground crew that you're ready to go, LShift+U instantly launches you and does salute gesture during launch (!).

< sigh > Even with the TID repeater I still find it tedious to manipulate the WNP TYP wheel. I have plenty of open buttons when I am the RIO. As for Salute... I wish we could just salute with a VR controller (move to head and back out). but isn't LShift-U Salute? Or was that only pre SC?

Salute issue - Can you Voice Attack it. That's that I do

Huh? I had no change at all in Tomcat on SC. Hornet I had to add the binding.

BINDING REQUEST for F-14 PILOT POSITION

I'd love to have bindings for all jester wheel commands, but the ones I want most are Radar Silent and Radar Active from the JESTER command wheel...

Close behind would be Jester Setting TCS Narrow vs Wide (which isnt available anywhere today from the pilot seat including the command wheel).

Finally, bindings for ECM OFF / REC / ACTIVE and FLARE MODE PILOT, FLARE MODE SINGLE , FLARE MODE MULTI.

Thanks!

Please add these weapon jettison bindings to the RIO seat:

FWIW, here are the emergency sweep discrete presets I use, which are based off the Wing Sweep vs. Mach Schedule in NATOPS. H/T @Wintermute74 for the original code.

{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 1.0, name = _('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (20)'), category = { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},
{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 0.9272, name = _('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (25)'), category = { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},
{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 0.5633, name = _('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (50)'), category = { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},
{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 0.4905, name = _('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (55)'), category = { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},
{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 0.4178, name = _('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (60)'), category = { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},
{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 0.3013, name = _('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (68)'), category = { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},
{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencySweepLever, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 0.0, name = _('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle (OVR)'), category = { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},

20 degrees - Mach 0.4

25 degrees - Mach 0.7

50 degrees - Mach 0.8

60 degrees - Mach 0.9

68 degrees - Mach 1.0+

And the code for the handle:

{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = -1, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle PUSH IN'), category= { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},
{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = 1, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle PULL OUT'), category= { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},
{down = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, up = device_commands.WINGSWEEP_EmergencyLeverExtended, cockpit_device_id = devices.WINGSWEEP, value_down = -1, value_up = 1, name=_('Emergency Wing Sweep Handle PUSH IN/PULL OUT (Toggle)'), category= { _('-MODIFICATIONS'),_('Throttle')}},

I do hope the requested bindings get added before the module is considered feature complete. It's pretty weird that a lot of switches are not bindable still.

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Fire extinguisher, please?  It's completely impossible to get to those buttons in the clickable cockpit (I just spent quite a while trying while my right engine burned), and there's no binding option for them.  So if you get an engine fire, you're screwed.

@latest beta: Bindings already are implemented but the function is not working atm. If you're down low with your head and precise enough you can also click it.

...now I need to look again, because I swear I searched for Fire in the settings several times and that was not there.

...and I just checked again, and it's still not there.  I guess somehow I don't have the latest update?  Odd.  I am on Open Beta.

I blame Steam for this.
