All I have to say is watch your backs!

I dont know how the Ka-50 will fit in but I know I wont be flying it online lol! That will be straight murder if you go up in a helo online lol. Funny thing happen will flying the 1st day, there was a small fly on my monitor and I mis took it for a emeny jet and I was chasing a fly on my monitor lol! Maybe I shouldnt have told anyone that lol:joystick:

I dont understand why did LOCK ON get bad reviews at gamestop and IGN. I have games like HL2,CCS,Oblivion,SH3, and Others and LOCK ON is the game that gets play 80% of the time. I go to PC gaming forums and tell everyone about LOCK ON and now since Ive played the Mulitplayer im trying to get all my friends on board.

Gamespot and IGN guys don't understand our passion of flying. This is the Game for real men :P.

Hey! Nemesis,

It was fun flying with you 2 days ago!

I must say that, even though I have been flying LO since the beginning, I am new to multiplayer as well. Tried for the first time a few weeks ago, played online only 3 or 4 times (I dont get so much time to fly anyway) and I found it so amazing too!! And some people are really helpful.

See you there sometimes.

In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust...

In real life I fly a humble Cessna Hawx XP II with 210 HP :D

yes, online flying is much nicer... once you get people you can fly with... flying alone is still kind of like playing offline, once you are on comms your thrill will increase again.

No longer active in DCS...

Multiplayer is nice. Although I wish there was some kind of online war going on because what we have right now is a simple team deathmatch.

Ummmm what about The continuing Red Flag war that has been going on for weeks?

I hope to rejoin you guys online by mid August... (new system being built)

Yep. Simple as that. Young people like that don't care much for simulations that require more than a passing thought & a fat blunt to master.

But- to be fair- LOMAC's steep curve & potentially expensive hardware requirements don't make real positive first impressions to the uninformed.

I was one of your kills last night Nemesis. I also just started flying online, and I really enjoy it. I still have a lot to learn though. Two nights ago, I realized how badly the F-15 needs reversers when I accidentally played chicken with a taxiing E-3. Needless to say we both died and I succeeded in pissing everyone in the server off. Sorry Ice. Still, it's a ton of fun and It feels like a whole new game.

Man the hardest thing to do that I took for granted when playing singleplayer is flying in formation. Flying in formation and keeping your jet next to your wingman is hard lol! I tried it and I was all over the place lol, I was above him then under him then to the right and left. Is it me because im flying straight or is my wingman moving away from me?

Could be both. My bro and I do that a lot to practice, then, if someone engages us, we go off and fight. Maybe you could join us sometime. ;)

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

That's what virtual squad can teach you. Remember! Only small corrections with the stick and throttle when flying in close formation. I had a very good teacher but haven't master it yet - thanks Ken... oh:doh: sorry, Breadfan . You may also to buy Track IR 4 to get better orientation.

It's a must for lock on, especially online where everything happens so fast.

...Which are the best squads.....thats what I want team work.

All Squads utilize Teamwork - will not stay alive for very long otherwise......;)

Regarding Squads, herewith a List of On-Line Squadrons.

Take your time, visit and browse the sites and take it from there......Some Squads specialise in specific AirFrames, while others do not.......Your Time-Zone will also probably play a role as well as the specific Squad Training and Mission Flight Times.

At the end of the day you must decide for yourself - Bottom Line is you're definitely in for a Helluva Fun Time: World's Apart from Single/Lonewolf Online - Play.

Doesn't get any more real than Squad-Flight! Heck, who needs a Dynamic Campaign when you've got LOCERF :D

LOL ya there is a lot of good squads out there. One thing to remember when picking one. You want to make sure your attitude and character mesh with the squad you are looking at. A real easy way to do this is hop on a squads TS server and see how they talk and interact with one another. The 169th is always looking for new pilots/friends, and are willing to help anyone learn the ins and outs of the game.

Depends on what you want in a squad; some have attendance requirements, some do not ... some have very good training. Really, no two squads are the same.

Personally I stick with the 44th - though we fly privately a lot, lately we've slowly been coming back to HL.

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Hi! all.

The online flying is great.

Realy is, but please don't unedrestimate it's potencial as the mission builders have found the sweet spot for making missions and it is a slow moving type...

Also custom single missions can be just as awesome.

Takes some thinking doesn't it, so use it.

I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.

wow! sounds very interesting.

what kinda connections(speeds) do u guys have?

im gonna get broadband myself in a month or two but i was kinda confused between these two plans:

speed - dnld/upld - actual speeds(tried it at a few places)

256kbps - unlimited - 16-25kBps

2mbps - 2.5gb(unlimited btwn 2am - 8 am) - 100-200kBps

so which 1 do u guys think would be better?.. the 256 plan would be good for downloading and surfing all day without worrying about additional bills, the 2mbps is damn fast but would require me to work at odd hours especially for heavy downloads and online gaming.

could u guys list ur speeds(and actual speeds) and what would be good for online gamming?

thnx
