TonyG
It was functioning before the last update, anyone else notice it seems to be non-functional now? Of course I can use NVG, but I liked tanking with the light.
Deano87
You have to have your external lights on for it to work it seems. But it also doesn’t seem very bright. Specially in very dark moonless nights it really doesn’t seem adiquate. Most of he baskets should be lit as well too which would help. TonyG
Before it was like a spotlight. External lights are on, and I can confirm there *is* a light on the probe from the external view, but it’s totally ineffective now.
Nealius
Is there no light switch for the probe light in the cockpit? I haven't been able to find one.
TonyG
No, the previous logic was the light came on when the probe came out. That is the same as the procedure in the NATOPs manual. Probe light is activated when the probe is extended if the exterior lights are on.
Biggus
Wonder if this is related to the bug I was experiencing last week with the sudden overpowering light source appearing whenever I had position lights on and probe deployed?
wrl11
I was wondering why the basket would be super bright when about to connect while wearing the NVG. Never noticed the light without the NVG tough so must not be very bright. 1st vAEW

With external lights toggled on (switch on port side of throttle), with the fuel probe extended, the basket is still illuminated - yes. Disable external lights, switch on port side of throttle - basket illumination ceases. Has worked the same for the better part of a year at least (possibly since initial release). For me it was an issue with my install. Repairing didn't help, I needed to do a full wipe and reinstall. But that was a long time ago.
