ssaa broken

was working wonderfully until the last two updates.

now, it does not work (AA simply not applied) and creates artifacts (ghostlike shadow of the plane following it in external view, unexplainable darkening of certain bands of the screen)

Using SSAA with my new 1080GTX and it's working perfectly here, are you using MSAA on top of SSAA?

ok, I've been able to reproduce the problem only if my second monitor is used, in particular I was streaming videos while playing.

in normal conditions, ssaa works as intended.

thx for the answer.

Your video link is not a good example of how to set antialiasing.

I recommend to put a new installation of the Nvidia drivers and tick the clean settings.

Set AA in game only, after that it must :) work.

Ok, did that still the same results, even with clean default NCP?

See pix, x2 SSAA in game nothing in NCP:(.

Use only internal SSAA/MSAA in the game, or even add FXAA/MFAA in the NCP.

You mean use SSAA & MSAA together in game?

What setup do you recomend in NCP & in game if you were to use SSAA?

Although you will not be satisfied but in the pictures I can see AA applied.

If the hw allows 2xSSAA at the same time 4xMSAA you get the best results of aa.

When I use the FHD projector I can turn on the 1.5xSSAA+2xMSAA+FXAA, otherwise the image is very jagged.

You will have to experiment a lot to find your ideal settings.

Demonstration of the effectiveness of AA three in one. As you can see it works on objects in the foreground and in the distance.

Thank you:thumbup:.

I Didn't know I could combine SSAA, MSAA, FXAA. Some threads here about graphics & performance are a little misleading & confusing....same with various video's on youtube ;).

might need to enable DSR in Nvidia control panel. I didn't have higher resolution ingame until I enable that

You were right: when i decrease the reso to 1920x1080 the selection 1.5x etc appeared, amazing..

I s there a way to activate it with 4k?

Nope, this is normal. ED disabled SSAA setting for resolution above 1080p, or maybe 1440p, can't remember. Keep in mind that SSAA is a "brut" antialiasing method, basically it you choose 2x, it will render the image at 2x your native resolution, you have a 4K monitor, do the math, your graphic card will have a hard time. Maybe the better solution for you is to enable FXAA through Nvidia Control Panel (a bit blurry but almost no performance hit) or try the SMAA injector with Reshade https://reshade.me, wich is not that bad.
