RightStuff
Uff... 28 EUR per DLG2415. And we need 7(?) at minimum. I'm thinking of a small 3.5" HDMI monitor for the outputs on the right side of the UFC. Pricing is ~20 EUR, less hazzle, looks more realistic and the viewport of the UFC can be used. https://www.ebay.de/itm/162285114464 Caveat: 3.5" maybe a little too small and bigger ones will not fit. So the UFC has to be shrinked a little bit.
NightShiftNinja
Not sure if this helps anyone but it looks like I have found some hdlg 2416 chips for a little of $7 each.... https://www.components-mart.com/product/Avago-Technologies(Broadcom-Limited)/HDLG-2416.html I'm going to look at putting in an order right now. Edit, I just put in a request for a quote, I will let you guys know what kind of response I get from them. acorky
Hi, I re-designed it in Autodesk Inventor. I want to use 16segment LED displays and DLG2416 modules from ebay. As pushbuttons I want to use backlited ones from china. Assembly is not tested. Now I am waiting for parts from china. I will use arduino pro micro as UDB composite device with HID joystick for inputs and serial port for data output to displays PCB will follow :) 3D preview https://autode.sk/2HZzPFJ https://www.ebay.com/itm/2PCS-Cutout-12MM-12V-Green-LED-ILLUMINATED-Square-Momentary-PUSH-BUTTON-5-PINS/182458101108?epid=569707431&hash=item2a7b59ad74:g:MaIAAOSw3v5YppE8 https://www.ebay.com/itm/DLG2416-SIEMENS-DLG-2416-4-Digit-Alpa-Numeric-Segmented-Display-QTY-4-PEZZI/113591090825?hash=item1a728e7e89:g:77AAAOSwQz1bKh~a 16Segments LTP-587G and LTP-3862GD Wow, thank you so much for sharing! What is your plan for driving the displays? DCS-BIOS?
BulkaCv
Data from DCS will be readed by DCS-Bios, but in arduino will be custom software. I try to drive LEDs by PWM (PCA9685). DLGs and rotary encoders will be driven by MCP23017

Just wondering? Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

BulkaCv
Pushbutton samples from china just arrived. But I ordered 110VAC not 12VDC. So I try to test illumination tommorow at work. Then I will try to put green led to white pushbutton
Sierra99
BulkaCv quick question... Is this designed to mount FLAT against a panel or on a stand off like the real jet? I am looking for a solution that mounts flat for simplicity sake. Great work brother! NightShiftNinja
Would any of the more experienced modelers be willing to try tackling a minor modification to the orginal file for me? I was hoping that I would be able to learn fusion enough to allow me to modify the square buttons to allow me to try and use mechanical keyboard switches. Unfortunately I found out even that is far over my head and current skill level. I can provide exact measurements of the switches if someone is willing to help a guy out.
