FireCat
Hi FireCat, dwpenney and I Jemi has the same number ( 345 ) ? Well spotted jemi and thanks for the heads up. I have now corrected my glaring error I can only apologise to all concerned. I put it down to having mislaid my glasses, due to loss of memory, brought about by old age. If I have missed anything or made a mistake anywhere else I know our vigilant community will steer me in the right direction and thank and ask forgiveness in advance. Now. jameslockridge
Hi I have set up question about calibration. When I try to enter calibration mode my cursor does not make a circle instead it moves left and right at the very top of the screen. I've watched the video many times and think I am doing it right. Thanks
jameslockridge
I think it was because I have a Reverb headset. I followed jv44bubi instructions and was able to enter Calibration mode. Thank you for the detailed instructions.

MilesD
Hi James, If your getting the circle for set-up mode, may have the old firmware, The circle had been replaced, and calibration task separated. Are you using voice assist? You don't need a PHD in ancient hieroglyphics to tell the mode your in anymore. MilesD
Will this be turned into a production quality unit at some point, or will it remain as 3D printed parts? While ABS 3d printed parts don't have the best fit and finish right off the printer, and do require a lot of post processing time, they are very functional, durable, and allow complex shapes that are difficult to injection mold. That being said, it takes us way to much time to manufacture PointCTRL units, We build almost everything in house, even populating and re-flowing the FCU PCBs. I will be switching to a Low pressure over-moulding injection process soon that will reduce the size of the FCU's, and hopefully reduce manufacturing time. Thanks for the great question. MilesD
I am getting a bit confused, how do I tell if the HMS is on? There is a green light on all the time. I know if I use a FMC button the red light flashes but the green light is on all the time. Hey DD, Unfortunately the colors on some of the boards are not standard. I used a standard piggyback back board to get things rolling and they switched things up a bit. I am moving to a dedicated board soon. But to answer you question, if the HMS is plugged in, its running. That is usually the green light. The red light flashes when the HMS is transmitting data (cursor position or mouse button states) to your PC. The left button on the HMS will deactivate the HMS but it stays powered on. When you press the left button on the HMS to deactivate the HMS, the cursor will move to the center of the screen and then off to the upper left corner. It will do the opposite when you reactive it with the same button. A lot of people plug PointCTRL into a switched USB Hub to easily turn it on and off. I hope that helps, Miles Now shipping up to website Pre-Order Form date 2022/06/01 Pre-Order Form Submission https://pointctrl.com/preorder-form/ PointCTRL Support Discord https://discord.gg/jH5FktJ PintCTRL Website https://pointctrl.com/

Thanks in advance I would recommend just starting with voice assist alone on the desktop to get familiar with things. You can go through the menus and move the cursors around. Just do a factory reset when your done and ready to calibrate.
