VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

I followed EXACTLY the steps described in README to uninstall:

 

Uninstall:

- Restore Bazar/shaders backup

- Restore terrain metacaches

- Delete files from C:\Users\<user>\Saved Games\DCS\fxo and metashaders2

directories.

 

 

and gave an error message when trying to run DCS that forced me to do a DCS Repair of 8.6Gb :(

this MOD is so much improving my performance on the index i can thank u enough.

 

just a quick question. several players do see fps cut to 1/3 when coming close to parked F18 F14 s, with your insight in how dcs renders, do u have any idea what can cause this or a way to improve it

NVD_Common is breaking integrity check, but with the default file in it fails to compile?

After installing the mod following the readme, I get an error I when trying to start DCS. Are there any know fixes? I think the error said something about a problem with the ‘Content’ file. Any thoughts?

I'm using the files for 2.5.5.34644 posted in 1st post of this thread and they seem to work fine in 2.5.5.35461 (stable release), haven't noticed bugs so far.

 

However, I should mention that I delete the modified glass.hlsl and deferredCommon.hlsl prior to placing the mod files in game, simply because I prefer their original versions.

I have no idea how (and if) those two work in 2.5.5.35461.

Is this working with the latest beta? I'm getting shawdow shader errors when compiling new shaders on launch
I am using it with the latest open beta and no issues at all.

FYI, if you're annoyed with the double lens flare effect, you can mod :

 

...\DCSWorld\Bazar\shaders\PostEffects\lensEffect.fx

 

pass Ghosts    PASS_BODY(vsGhost(),    psGhost(),    aberrationBlend)

Change the last argument to "disableColorOutput", so it looks like :

pass Ghosts    PASS_BODY(vsGhost(),    psGhost(),    disableColorOutput)

Is there a way to have it validated for integrity check?

Yes. You have to remove some of the files but you still get a boost. I don't remember which files exactly, but you can figure it out by going into Multiplayer and clicking on the red Integrity Check icon.

 

That will tell you which files are causing you to fail. Restore the original files and you're good to go.

 

I use OvGME and have an MP and SP version of the mod so I can swap back and forth. It works pretty well since my computer recreates the Shaders pretty quickly.
