... I also fixed a problem with the moon illuminating the cockpit glass too much which was making it difficult to see anything at night with full moon...

Wow. Thank you. I thought I was the only one having this issue since nobody responded to my posts.

I updated the first post with a link to a new version that should work with latest beta as of now (v2.5.3.21107). I also fixed a problem with the moon illuminating the cockpit glass too much which was making it difficult to see anything at night with full moon.

There are quite a lot of shader changes in the latest betas that are not mentioned in the changelog and I didn't test this version too much yet so its possible there are some bugs. But at least with a few quick missions with the Harrier everything seemed to work as before. :)

Thank you again - a lifesaver.

I mentioned this previously, and wonder if it's just me. I think it happens when I'm over water within sight of land. When I look around, occasionally the sea flashes white. I managed to get a screenshot this time.

Wow, that was fast. Thanks. This mod has become a must for me. I hope eagle dynamics will soon incorporate your mod and relieve you of the maintenance work.

One thing I have noticed when using the mod, is a horrible shimmering on land/sea borders in the PG map.

Difficult to capture, but the attached shows where there are issues. See all the white dots on the land.

Definitely a mod artifact as doesn't occur without it.

Same here, can be fixed by setting water to medium :)

Thank you! I'll give it a go - hopefully not too much of a hit on frame rate.

Yes that did it, but I now see an artefact near the mouth of the river (Batumi). It comes into view whenever I rotate my head below level with horizon.

With the new version I'm having difficulty with the mask. ALthough I set the MASKSIZE to 0.925f I still can see in the corner of my eyes moving frames, especially when moving my head.

This was not the case with the first version where a MASKSIZE set to 0.725f was enough to get rid of this effect.

Anybody having the same problem?

I have 0.600f and this enough,as in the previous version, but I see moving frames too because of the fall of FPS in 2.5.3

No. Changes to the following files cause IC to fail:

bazar/shaders/deferred/decoder.hlsl

bazar/shaders/deferred/gbuffer.hlsl

bazar/shaders/deferred/atmosphere.hlsl

bazar/shaders/deferred/shadows.hlsl

bazar/shaders/materialfactory/ils151.hlsl

bazar/shaders/model/functions/glass.hlsl

You still get a substantial benefit if you use the rest of his changes and simply use the original versions of the above listed files though. ;) (Thanks to Airdog for making this known)

Thanks for the update..

The mod is now installed correctly, unfortunately the current version of OpenBeta has broken Oculus Rift users..., the current performance is terrible, even with this Mod installed, It's a shame, I hope they have in mind to fix it... :noexpression:
