Can't Download Persian Gulf due to some error....help me pleaseeeee

hey guys i'm getting an error when trying to download the PG map, I open DCS it tells me theres a new module to install i say do it, and it exits the sim and gives me the following error message....see attached pics. and this notepad error page thing...

 

 

can someone help me out here ?

You need to update DCS prior to attempting to install PG.

thanks for quick reply it doesnt offer me that option. if theres an update I open DCS and it says theres an update before the game even loads up. it doesnt do that this time it just goes into the game doesnt offer me an update

Manually update DCS.

 

open a command prompt window

 

(change the following to match your install location)

type: cd C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin

 

type: dcs_updater.exe update

There should also be an update shortcut in your windows start menu.

 

I am just guessing here, but perhaps the map download isn't quite uploaded at the DCS website just yet? When it is complete, I will assume

it will let you download it. Pure speculation on my part.

The map and the update are both available. Please don't speculate as this only confuses people even more :)

It's already available, people have already complete the download and install of PG - FYI.

did this and it seems to be updating to something lol. much appreciated i'll report back if it doesnt work. thanks for your help man. had me really worried i wasnt going to get to fly over the PG today.

Yes, install the Open Beta. You are running the Stable Release branch. The persian gulf map is only available for the open beta for now.

Looks like some of the confusion is

that if you launch 2.5 stable it asks you if you want to install the Persian Map if you pre ordered. This won't work you need the BETA. Again very confusing to me but I know why its dumping me out. When I try it just crashed to windows desktop no error.

2.5.2.17559

 

If your Version Number is below this one, you cannot install the Theatre, Please Update to the latest Version.

download size of the map should by always showed on main page !! How big is it ?? I have only 10GBleft on my stick.
