Eaglewings
quick question about WMR. which software does the reprojection if you play dcs via steamVR. is it done by the WMR software or by steamVR, or can you choose? if it is done by WMR how does WMR reprojection compare to steamVR and oculus implementation? i'm familiar with oculus ASW and found it to be very useable at 45fps. thanksReprojection is done by steamvr software. twistking
Reprojection is done by steamvr software. thanks for the quick reply. is steamvr motion reprojection comparable to oculus ASW nowadays? i remember that it used to be seen as slightly inferior. Werewolf_fs
WMR has its own reproyection system now integrated into the steamVR interface: https://steamcommunity.com/games/719950/announcements/detail/2887328987484646260 And after being a user of Oculus CV1 and RIFT S, and Reverb G1 (G2 in November), I find the preprojection of WMR is better, it generates much less "ghosts"
Motomouse
I love the WMR reprojection (called motion smoothing). It seems to have improved a lot recently. VIC-20@1.108 MHz, onboard GPU, 5KB RAM, μυωπία goggles, Competition Pro HOTAS

oz555
I have an issue with the initial calibration on my Reverb, just before the cliff house loads up. The "look left, right, down" feature sometimes appears, sometimes not and sometimes just for a brief moment. The quality of the tracking from then on seems to depend on how much time was allowed during this calibration. The reliability of the calibration window appearing at all seems totally random. I've tried multiple re-installs of WMR and also with and without the auto/manual switch sensor option. Any ideas what may be up? Asus Z790 PLUS WIFI D4, 13700K RTX 4090 FE, M2. HP Reverb G2. speed-of-heat
1) try setting the boundary 2) make sure you just launch the cliff house and then do the calibration , then launch dcs SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat

oz555
I get loads of bother with the sensor on. Can't rest the HMD on my head and use desktop etc. SOH may be right on the USB. I get regular disconnect sounds even though I have a powered USB hub. The Reverb has been an odd one to be honest and I've had two. Got a G2 coming in the first batch. Hopefully these issues will have been ironed out. Asus Z790 PLUS WIFI D4, 13700K RTX 4090 FE, M2. HP Reverb G2.
Melomar
I just got the Reverb G2 and am a first time WMR user. I noticed that there is a very significant strobe flash effecting during the Role Selection Screen load and the pre-flight mission Briefing screen load that is very uncomfortable. Does anyone know the cause and fix? Didn't experience this when I was using the Quest. Thanks!

dburne
Opening automatically is disabled in windows headset setting. Not really unless you know something I do not. If you are talking about the "input switching" option, changing that does not prevent WMR software from starting up when headset is plugged in. I have found no way to prevent that. LASooner
Latest Nvidia drivers 457.30 messed up the refresh rate on my Odyssey plus. I have a RTX2080ti and I started getting Error 13-14 which means it could not start my WMR at the refresh rate I set, which was 90hz. I could run it in 60hz but the flicker bugged the crap out of me. So I rolled the drivers back to 456.71 and it all works again. If anyone else has issues, give that a try. Camel
hey all, I’ve ordered a G2 and was wondering if it is possible to show a desktop app in VR (as kneeboard) while in DCS and also interact with it? thanks.
eUK Nibbler
Hi guys, just got my first vr with g2. Looks great on all other games but for some reason dcs is a shimmering mess and anything at distance is blurry, chances of spotting enemy at distance is zero! I have both wmr and steam vr set as close to native as possible but can't seem to get an even vaguely monitor quality picture. Surely it's not this crap in vr? It's like playing pilot wings on super nintendo ffs. Can get it to a steady 45fps (I guess reprojection) but why can we get a solid non shimmering pic? Puttingy face close to dials and they look amazing but sit back and its jagged and shimmery. What am I missing? 4k per eye but not even 1080p quality?!
