J-15 Next?

I am guessing that the J-15 will be next on the agenda as well as a properly modified carrier to represent the Lioaning. The question I pose, are these two of the four jets ED have been quoted as bringing to DCS as Flaming Cliffs 4 modules? Or are they talking about 4 all new modules?

As a guess I'd say all new modules for FC4, as the J-11A is free to all who have FC3.

Alpha, I'm not starting ANOTHER wish list thread, just Asking for confirmation that DEKA will do what they did to the Su-27, to create the Chinese version J-10. The J-15 is of course the Chinese version of the SU-33 more or Less. With that I am Guessing/Asking if it will get the Deka treatment since this is a Relatively Simple Modification as compared to an "ALL NEW" module.

Not that likely... J-11A uses Su-27S avionic and modified from ED's model, so that saved tons of time for Deka. But Chinese version of Su-33? You could say that regarding J-15's position but not the lineage. China never had any product version of Su-33, only the prototype T-10K-3 and used its carrier specialized designs on J-11. I don't see that the development of J-15 will be easier than other significant evolved model in the Flanker family such as Su-30 or Su-35. Besides, PLA won't release any info of J-15 for DCS's reference...

 

About the Liaoning, markindel(2015) and topergood(recently) made two separate mods with new models of it, dunno if there is a chance for them to work with Deka and then officially add it into DCS as AI.

JH-7 is the only current PLAAF strike anti-surface aircraft, that is interested. Its basically a larger SEPECAT JAGUAR.

I wouldn`t care if they just changed the textures on SU33 and made it to J15. Added PL12 and possibly even PL15 to it. And sold it as low fidelity module for FC3. Do you guys think ED would allow for this?

One guy made SU53 mod and it was so fun to fly. Untill ED killed it. Imagine what Deka could do.

And this plane would be most wellcomed by all SU fans out there. Finally they`d get capable platform competitive in multyplayer.

When i talk about Active Duty Red aircraft i allways mean non clickable non study versions of them. This low fidelity modules wouldn`t bother sertain organisations more than Ice Combat representations of them. That`s the way we got SU and MIG into this sim after all.

It is not allowed and they even blur all cockpits in videos. Probably because the airframe design copied from Russia and cockpit copied from nato. Would be nice to fly a hybrid but not worth the prison time. I would be happy with even old planes from Deka. As long as they have good ground attack capabilities.

And autorities don`t care about it. Why?

Because it is arcade game meaning nobody will be able to fly real J15 after playing this game.

Same thing with "Low Fidelity" Non Study versions of J-11B and J-15. You have allready developed all avionics for JF-17. I bet they are pretty close to those of J-11B,J-15.

You could make simplified NON CLICKABLE version of this avionics suite and use it for those two jets. Nobody in China would ever care about secrecy of such FC3 modules cos they are in a nutshell same Arcade planes. Just few checkboxes in options menu and DCS becomes Ace Combat.

Too Modern argument is irrelevant in this case. You have nothing to worry about exept how much you will spend on developement and earn from them.

Math for developement is simple for you guys a tiny fraction of the cost of JF-17 developement . Math for gross revenue of iconic multirole Flanker family LF fighter is couple of dozens of thousands happy Flanker fans and REDFOR enthusiasts in general. Price tag for such module would it be closer to FC3 modules 20 - 30$ will be very affordable and most of those craving for modern multirole Flankers would be happy to pay.

I think it`s safe to say that developement cost compared to gross revenue of such module would be much better ratio than what you have for JF-17.

Think about MAC when it will come out there will be acute severe shortage of modern capable REDFOR branch jet fighters.

This J15 Low Fidelity module is poised for success. With most of AA/AG armament allready present in DCS.

I hope you`ll seize this great opportunity before someone else does.

You can Fly J-15 on our IC protected server. It is called "Exercise Red Flag" All flankers will have vanilla PL-12 missile attached to their pylons. No mods needed.
