NVIDIA Driver update AND DCS update on the same day. :doh:

Problem still present after updating NVIDIA drivers to 397.31

ED are looking into why this is happening to some users and not others.

 

If you have not already and you are seeing this metashader issue please attach your

dcs.log so the team can check it.

 

Make sure you have no unofficial modifications installed

run a cleanup and repair or steam verify

create a fresh saved games DCS.openbeta folder by renaming the old one

and ensure windows and all drivers are up to date.

 

As soon as I have some news on this I will pass it on

Thanks ill have a play round in 1.5 for a while. I was only looking at some mission making anyway

just checking, no one is using reshade or any 3rd party shader tool?

I am assuming it is all missions but

 

which missions / modules did you use to get this crash.

 

I want to try the same.

I want to try the same.

 

 

I've tried in multiple single player misisons, editor and multiplayer. Seems to happen when any misssion is loaded. Important to note that I have tried all suggestions in this thread as well.

Same issue, presents the same error upon start of any mission, any aircraft. Also when trying to make a new mission - it error occurs once I have selected which map I want to use and try to start mission editing.

Tried pre and post update of NVIDIA drivers plus with and without Rift CV1 running.

Deletion of specified files (FXO etc), cleanup and repair completed.

Also tried deleting metashaders followed by repair (hence "2018-04-25 20:35:32.520 ERROR RENDERER: Failed to build metashader:........")

 

i5 6600k

gtx 1080

16gb ram

240GB SSD nmve (OS only)

500GB SSD

CV1 Rift

Just a quick thought, is the path in the log ok (DCS.openbeta\/metashaders):
