New Laptop Purchase

Recommended Posts

From that list, it's undoubtedly the Dell i5577-5328BLK-PUS. It has a GTX 1050, which is the only reasonable GPU on that list. However, it has a hard drive instead of an SSD, meaning that you will spend most of your time staring at loading screens. Also, 8 GB RAM is rather marginal.

I can't really recommend any gaming laptop around $600 for DCS. At that price, many sacrifices must be made. Could you increase your budget or get a desktop instead? A desktop would give far better performance for the same price.

If you must get a laptop, you should look for the following components as a minimum:

  • GTX 1050
  • i5 or i7 (preferably -HQ model)
  • 16 GB RAM
  • 256 GB SSD

For good performance, a better graphics card (GTX 1060) is desirable.

Get the GTX 1060 6gb for dcs, not the one with only 3gb of VRAM:thumbup:

I recommend this card to be the minimum to play at DCS with medium to high settings @ 1080P.

It will be an all round better Gaming PC too, not just for DCS. ;)

600US$ + Notebook + DCS does not match, as said above.
