I downloaded the first 58GB in about ten minutes, now I've been going at it for six hours trying to get the second 15GB torrent file. Am I doing something wrong ? I just imagine they need a better way to setup the torrenting system they have implemented meaning more control on how many peers one can connect to.. I just imagine they need a better way to setup the torrenting system they have implemented meaning more control on how many peers one can connect to.. Yes it torrents so you are uploading whilst downloading also. Supposed to reduce network loads but makes it all super slow. A direct download over multiple cloud servers would be great. I'm in Australia and I'm currently getting 1 MB/s, which is pretty close to the top speed of my ADSL2 connection, so I'm very happy so far. Complete contrast to to the Nevada download. On average my internet speed for downloading is 3 to 4MB/s; however, it when it switched over to the second file which is 15GB it slowed right down. Right now I am at 80% downloading at 500kb/s. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if you have a 1Mb, 10Mb, or a 100Mb connection, if the server and it's internet connection is at saturation it's not going to go any faster (in general). It’s been terrible, sometimes it stops dead, mostly it’s 20kb/n it’ll jump to 300kb a sec. worst thing is I can’t do anything else on the internet with any device over WiFi or cable while it’s downloading!! It wants to pull 40gb (Nor/Nev) my 2.2 is up to date but with that file size I can only do it after midnight. Whenever they are done downloading, they are no longer seeding. I wish ED would release the torrents so people with the ability to seed the files when they are not downloading anymore. At least I have 2.5 and can enjoy the wonderful new Caucasus map. It really is brilliant.
