Given that FC3 is a simplified version of DCS 2+ it would be nice if the developers would/could adapt a version for either PS4 or Xbox. Could open an added stream of revenue. The hardware of either is certainly capable today. I know quite a few of us have consoles.

Waste of developer resources. Also, are your joystick and pedals compatible with your console gaming system?

Along with what the others have said, the lack of clickable pits OR a keyboard for the myriad of switches would make it unplayable. And a clickable cockpit wouldn't be much better on a gamepad. I don't think DCS is feasible on consoles without A LOT of simplification.

I'm fairly certain that one can use a keyboard and mouse now on the newer Xbox console. I know I have no issue using one thru my Steam link combined with the Steam controller and/or joystick.

Apart from the problems already mentioned, I don't think a console can handle the simulation of DCS performance wise. It would at least require an awful lot of work to adjust the DCS engine to console requirements -> waste of developer resources.

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

 

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
