get rid of the mouse for interactive cockpit

Recommended Posts

Anything out there currently on the market that would allow you to get rid using the mouse for the clickable cockpits? Just wondering what might be in store for us in the future in terms of cockpit interface with the interactive cockpit switches in the high fidelity aircraft.

Agreed, touch screen would be a solution, though when it comes to rotary knobs you might have some problems.

Another useful tool is voice activated commands.

I have used both methods, but found I always needed a mouse as well. Fundamentally, the mouse isn't something I would remove from my input options - but there is nothing to say it can't be done with some imagination and application.

Captoglove is quite limited (I own a pair). For a clickable cockpit, sans mouse, I am still using a touch screen with great success. Knobs are a bit problematic but they do work.
