Fortunately, this particular SME has a computer at his shop that can run DCS (he is working as a flight instructor) along with full controls . He recently completed set-up and is now able to test routinely. :)

Yay! Way to go! I can't possibly imagine how it could be more awesome. "A dream come true" doesn't nearly cover this module...

Thanks Heatblur - for the awesome update.

Great to see you're using the Rift. I truly believe VR is the future of simulation - good to see yourselves and ED are embracing it. Seeing ultra detailed models of things like control sticks did have me worried about performance in VR. These worries are now gone!

F-14 and Carrier ops has to be my most anticipated sim experience in 30 years.

Thank you!

Honestly didn't cross my mind till you pointed it out. :)

There is a resemblance in the picture, but in person he is a fair bit burlier than Tom Skerritt.

Yeah, i've heard that about naval aviators that flew the Tomcat. Apparently working that stick was quite a physically demanding task

Ah those years of traps and training...watch how the shoulders tighten and the head leans back at 0:50.

Not only a day one buy, but I'm taking of week off from work. :yay:
