Now, Betty and ATC is talking through the headphones instead of the 2.1

This wasn't even mentioned in the notes, but can be seen in the voice chat thread on the settings screen. As I have often asked for the separation of environment and headphone audio onto different sound devices, this is one of the best feature additions of the patch for me. Makes it about 20% more realistic dealwithit.png

But I've yet to try it myself... I wonder what 300% switches volume, which also is a great addition for those who wanna hear more due to the lack of feel, does to the Heatblur modules icon_redface.gif

The new patch does not seem to be auto installing into World open beta am I missing something?

If you ran DCS within 24h hours already, it won't fire up the updater again. Head down to your Start menu, Eagle Dynamics, DCS World OpenBeta an hit that Update DCS World OpenBeta link there, which basically runs "DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update. This should give you the update if you haven't got it already. If that doesn't help, try a repair as well.

I have never ever had these not hearing through the headphones issues you guys are reporting. Sounds really weird. I've always been able to hear jester/atc/whoever/srs etc.

What I like very much with SRS is, that it enables you to have the radio communication to set up on the headphone driver and the DCS sound on to the stereo speaker/subwoofer driver.

But that meant, that all DCS radio sounds, like ATC were directed to the stereo speaker.

Now you could add in DCS sound a separated driver for your headphones, but keep the engine sound, environmental sound, cockpit sounds on the speaker system.

Ah I see.

I just fly in VR so everything is on the headset. Plus my wife would kill me otherwise.

I hope they brightened up the anti K light on the 16. It's a little too dim. It should be as bright as the A10Cs wingtip lights. Just an observation, not a complaint.

Why I need to ask Deka? It will be part from tomorrow`s DCS Open Beta, right? So I cant see where is the problem to ask here.

Because if you want to know, they would be the ones to ask. ED will rightfully say that if it’s included in the patch, it will be on the change log.

380+ MB for a hotfix on a crash caused by the TF-51? What's in it?

"The natural function of the wing is to soar upwards and carry that which is heavy up to the place where dwells the race of gods.

More than any other thing that pertains to the body it partakes of the nature of the divine." — Plato, Phaedrus.

Not noted in the changelog, but the Mirage lighting switches now work correctly, i.e. we can now vary the intensity of the cockpit lights. Previously they were just on or off.
