Jogui3000
After reading the full manual, and flying this bird for arround 30 hours, I have to say, I'm loving it, but there are a few things I still don't understand, and would like to know. :smartass: :pilotfly: :book: 1) How exactly does the "Auto-land" A/P work? I have tested it, and decided to turn it off once I was at about 25 feet above the runway, it was descending too fast... How exactly am I supposed to use it? :joystick: 2) How do I change a waypoint's altitude? I've tried to many times, but with no success. :helpsmilie: Here's what I'm doing: Selecting the WP I want to edit Selecting ALT (on the INS panel) Pressing 1 to edit the left side (in feet), pressing one again for +, and then I dial in the value I want, for example, 5000, but nothing changes... How is this supposed to work? 3)How do I create a new waypoint? (Can I?) Or is it only possible to create an offset WP? :helpsmilie: Thank you in advance! razo+r
1) Use ILS mode and then activate the pilot when you are somewhere near the box and some miles out of the runway. You need to adjust the throttle by yourself. 3) Press "PREP" and then enter the next waypoint Then enter the coordinates as always

And it was still descending too fast when above the runway, Am I supposed to disable it once I'm about to touch down? PC Specs: RTX 2070 (8GB) + I5-9600K + 32GB RAM. Xxx
1) Use ILS mode and then activate the pilot when you are somewhere near the box and some miles out of the runway. For #2, I think the only way to set altitude is via a BAD waypoint. This chap explains how to do a INS BAD waypoint. Although I can't get the dumb bombs on target using this! For auto approach, only really used as an aid in zero viz. I always hand fly since the Fly By Wire is just beautiful and you just follow the HUD! Cheers. Not sure how to change a WP's altitude though. (without offset BAD) Yeah, I only use the auto-land in zero viz too, but You know, Knowledge is always good :) PC Specs: RTX 2070 (8GB) + I5-9600K + 32GB RAM. Jogui3000
Are you entering 5000, or 05000? You cannot leave any blanks in the entry, or it won't accept your input, and it needs 5 digits. Same for all other types of entry in the INS btw. So in Caucasus, all Eastern coordinates need a extra 0 in front because the first part requires 3 digits (eg. 042:51.18. else creating waypoints won't work either :) ) I see! Thank you! It worked... I feel so dumb right now xD PC Specs: RTX 2070 (8GB) + I5-9600K + 32GB RAM. Stuff for the sim: Thrustmaster T16000M HOTAS + TFRP Rudder pedals, Track IR5. Azrayen
1/ There is no auto-land on this aircraft; you can use the AP in approach (with ILS) down to 200ft. At 200ft (height) you must take control back. 2 & 3/ Already answered above.
