[MOD] Viggen Warfare Kneeboard Pages

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have been - and still am - learning the different weapons and systems of the Viggen. This generated a couple of kneeboard pages (JSGME/OvGME ready zip file attached).

My aim was to have the most important pieces of information for each weapon, system or mode on a single page.

The main source of information was the manual, which is obviously still in a beta state :book:.

However, I tried to augment it with all the things I learned from the usual suspects, i.e.

and
YT tutorials as well as Chuck's guide. But also from what I found all around in the forum and my own experiences.

Since this comes in a kneeboard format, space is naturally rather limited. Hence, I worked a lot with colors and bold text to highlight the important parts.

Warfare

CK37 input and output codes.

A kneeboard version of the weapons chart, which was inspired by wasserschorle's great work.

One page for each release mode of the M/71 general purpose bombs, the Lysbomb and the BK 90. All these are based on the attack profiles and include the HUD symbology.

Checklists for the ARAK/AKAN, RB 04, RB 05, RB 15, RB 75 and RB 24/74 employment.

One page summarizing the modes of the KB countermeasures and U22/A ECM pod. (Note that at the moment the KB pod behaves a bit differently from what is stated in the manual. See here.)

One page each for the reconnaissance modes SPA/MÅL and SPA/SKU. (Mind you that especially SPA/SKU seems to be very much WIP.)

A general page about ELINT and by courtesy of grunf (thanks again!) a slightly adapted version of his marvelous database.

Procedures

Procedures are based on the beta manual and the nice work of Toertchen.

Last but not least

Most of the information is based on the beta manual and the current implementation might differ here and there. I reckon both manual and aircraft will converge to the same state eventually.

The attached zip file contains all images as a JSGME/OvGME ready mod using Zabuza's procedure. The pictures will look more worn out in game.

Hope it helps :)

PS: Please let me know, if you spot a mistake (I'm sure there are quite a few) or have suggestions for improvement.

Excellent Mod .. I had previously tried CHSubZero's kneeboard Mod, but didnt like that the special Viggen pages didnt work on that Mod. This one instead, complements rather than replace the original Kneeboard ... really really useful, thanks a lot :)

After reviewing the pages I must say this is the best kneeboard mod I have ever seen! I will never need to peek out of my nose gap in the Oculus Rift to review the manual ever again. I will have all I need with me in the kneeboard. THANK YOU FRANKY!!!:joystick::pilotfly:

I spent soo much time making something like this from scratch, but now - what's the use? I lay all my work on my (passive(i have one interactive sheet though)) kneeboard down, THIS IS THE SHIT! Funny that the only two mods I have activated in DCS, both come from funky franky :D (keys and kneeboard) thank you so much for both! Really appreciate it man!

I think, I said it already, but this is seriously some AWESOME work. Thank you for that!

But maybe it is possible that you share the source files of the pages - so that one can reformat/rearrange the the content a bit - for better offline printing?

Sure. Here is the dropbox link.

I used GIMP to create it, which is free.
