  • support for SLI/Crossfire
  • destructible powergrid
  • visible birds
  • rain on cockpit glass
  • clouds and particles that do not penetrate cockpit
  • vapour cones
  • turbulence
  • ability to invert camera controls in F2 view only
  • high quality PIP mirrors on all aircraft
  • fix black glass bug ex: MiG 29 etc..
  • shadow draw distance pop up bug in Normandy to be fixed
  • animated pilot death
  • spawn collision protection in multiplayer
  • update all low resolution 3D models (UB-32.. etc.)
  • auto-populate air traffic and vehicle units around airbases as an option to add some life on the ground (completely sterile at the moment)
  • canopy icing
  • possible inclusion of commercial air traffic (non wartime)
  • smoother mouse inputs, movements / camera tweaks
  • optional motion blur
  • Ground crew model. refuel/repair
  • turbulence when flying behind wake
  • better craters
  • Basic building damage model
  • Building fires
  • accurate nuke animation
  • SAMs should leave longer lasting trails
  • rockets & missiles should leave a much longer lasting plume
  • better (stronger) pitot tube vibrations when a plane is on the ground (eg. MiG 21)
  • dark toggle helmet visors with animations on all aircraft
  • More capable Red team units to balance full fidelity Blue team units
  • updated soviet models with modern avionics (eg. SU 25 SM), would make sense if they were seperate purchase modules
  • heat blur on ALL fire sources
  • terrain mirage in summer heat
  • more distinct fuel, oil, fire smoke trails from damaged aircraft (green/yellow/black etc..)
  • redesigned & streamlined 3rd person camera info bar
  • multicolored street lights: orange, amber - not just white
  • highway street lamps brighter than surrounding lights (increased street light density)
  • built in radio communication
  • option to play as air traffic control
  • US carriers
  • PFM for all FC3 aircraft
  • clickable cockpit for all FC3 aircraft
  • future ability to fly larger AI aircraft (transport, bombers etc.)

 

Personal request: BGAF Mi-8, MiG 29, L-39, Su-25A, An-26 - along side the new MiG 21 BGAF skin

  • removing 3rd person lag when entering a server (lag /fps drop upon entry)
  • Satellite View on F10 map
  • 3D livery preview before spawn (multiplayer)
  • Sound models upgraded like M2000 (subjective)
  • Ground crew model. refuel/repair
  • Nimitz Class carrier
  • Visible landing lights
  • updated soviet models with modern avionics (eg. SU 25 SM), would make sense if they were seperate purchase modules
  • improved explosions/fire animations

Some issues I had were fixed with 1.5, some are being worked on, but many still stand. In my eyes addressing these issues would make it the ultimate sim, not to say it isn't amazing as is. :joystick:

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

 

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Very interesting items listed by our friend.

One of the major weaknesses of DCS is climate today. I do not know 2.0 environment but in 1.5 it is extremely poor and ugly.

The desire would be somewhat similar to FSX for example, dense clouds, lightning, rain, drops on the windshield, fog, turbulence etc.

aaaand... let's not forget: A clickable cockpit for the SU-25T in order to have both the A-10 and the SU-25 workable in VR without having to remember switches.

 

OR...

 

A dev diary on how cockpits are created - The switches in the cockpit work when pressing keyboard shortcuts, so... wonder why the reverse would be such a hard thing to do.

 

Would gladly pay for it as well just to be able to fly the SU-25 with a clickable cockpit, with its current Flight Model.

Good list terminator363. I see a fair amount of things that are already in 2.1.x or are planned for 2.5, rest of things are more like DCS vNext - more like 2025.

I wonder how many 3D experts would offer to develop AI models that would be supreme in quality, detail, and accuracy as well as delivered under strict time constraints and passed to ED in charitable form (aka for free).
