I read the change log for the latest upgrade to DCS 2.0 and went to the link listed, ran a search for VC14 Runtime, now my question is what do I download and install on that page. As you can probably surmize, I'm not that computer savvy.:helpsmilie:

Thanks for the reply, but if you go to the link and do a search for VC Runtime, you will see my confusion. If you would please.

Why are you doing a search? It is sitting right in front of you.

As long as you checked the x64 version, yes.o

@razo+r If one were to follow just your steps you will not get anywhere since there will not be a download button on that screen.

Okay, I downloaded it "x64 version". I'm not doing the update anyway, due to all the problem posts since the update. Thanks to everyone for their assistance, that's why I really enjoy the DCS community.

That's because there is a bug in the latest v2 patch and this has nothing to do with it.

I just installed Windows 10 on my computer and it is fully updated. Do I still need to d/l the VC Runtime before I start DCS Nevada? I want to ask before and not try to figure what is wrong after.

Yes.

Unfortunately the files don't come with the Windows 10 download or the disk.

I have no idea why as most games require them and there are so many you

would think it would be a part of the installed files.

Are you sure those of us with Windows 10 need this? It says that it is not required!

Thanks in advance for clarification on this issue!

Some Win10 guys ran the 2.0.5 u1 without installing the aforementioned update at all, the others tried to install it but the system told them the components were already OK, so looks like the update might not be necessary.
