My sentiments exactly, I am using the new Eagle and loving it. This is a first for the community and there are bound to be minor hiccups that we can point out and thankfully we have a community member like Walmis that is brave and talented enough to take on a huge project like this. Just keep up updated on the progress, might i suggest add a few more antennas at the bottom of the aircraft like TACAN aerial, temperature probes. Looks like you corrected the nose and the canopy position, great job! Btw, does anyone know what this little round thing is on the nose? I guess it wouldn't hurt to add it, you can add this in the later release. The next update should mainly focus on the nose (which you did), the airbrake, and maybe the airintake/fuel tanks- still checking if this problem was related with your model or something else. I dont think it will be very hard for you to do so.. you just need to delete parts (pylons) of your model 3d.. I hope you dont mind doing so and uploading it.. Is this supposed to mean that unless I've made a 3d model I can't voice my opinion. Cause I haven't actually seen any of your 3d models either nor any 3 models from any of the other people's 8 pages worth of comments in this thread. Oh and FWIW, I've made at least a dozen 3d models for other sims. If I didn't have family, kids, wife I would more than likely do some stuff for LockON. I'm considering maybe doing some ground units - would like to see some main battle tanks and APC from other nations cause I mostly do ground pounding online. So far walmis as wanted to make a good replacement for the community, and he's getting their help in doing so. I see people pointing out legit flaws here. What are you doing, whining about imaginary whiners? We can go back and forth all day on what is a legit flaw and what is just plain a whine. It's subjective. If I wanted to point out some of the whines I would have quoted them but I am not here to debate that or get into a battle with those individuals. I rarely if ever join the constant bickering here over this game. I'm just pointing out that no matter how good he finishes this model there will always be complainers and unless he wants this to become a full time job he should just do it the way he wants it to look. You can have the last word. I don't want this thread to turn ugly and it already stinks so I'm not going to reply back. Maybe I was in bad mood when posted or took things wrong way. The centerline tank was still out of place however. My only question is as of right now, how do you install your own skins? I tried using the CDDS installer but it doesn't seem to work and I tried just using modman/loman and just installing like that, but that did not work eaither I am not sure if there is a previous post or not but if so I think I may have missed it I'm not sure. Kuky Posted November 14, 2006 Share Posted November 14, 2006 I had a look at that centre line fuel tank and seems to me both the fuel tank and the carrying pylon are moved backward (the pylon definitely is). Also please don't forget to correct front wheel to turn the right way... sorry if I (and so many of us) sound so demanding and picky... but believe me there won't be any point in having so much hard work and dedication put into this model already... and have some obvious "bugs" slip through :( It would be too much of a waste of good work put in already, and all of us will be thankfull to your skills and dedication to make it right... I know I would :D I guess this is to show that what I was told by someone, that no matter how much time you put in writing and how good you write your essay... only the 3rd or 4th version will be the really good one :D Edit: I guess when you hear none of us "whining" about any mistakes / discrepancies... you will know you got it right !
