robban75
Hi everyone! :) For several years now I've been doing line drawings of SAAB's jet creations. Many of them are still a WIP, but the Viggen is pretty much finished. Thought I'd share my drawings of the various Viggen variants. I've included pointers that mark the less obvious external differences. Hopefully you guys will find them useful. :) Edited February 7, 2017 by robban75

renhanxue
Great drawings and recognition guide! However, the devil is, as they say, in the details... spot the weirdness in this photo: The JA 37 did have functional air brakes... for a few years. Removed in the later half of the 1980's, as far as I am aware, but I don't know the exact year. Yes, this is completely pointless nerd trivia, why are you looking at me like that?
CHDT
I know, I know, "different aircraft", but I would really like the first fighter variant in the game !
robban75
Thanks guys! Glad you like them! :) @renhanxue I don't know when they locked the airbrakes on the JA 37. The aircraft in the photo doesn't have dayglow, so I'm guessing this photo is taken in the mid 80's? :)
renhanxue
Yeah, I don't have the exact year but I believe 1985 or more likely 1986. They probably didn't last long after that.
