Guppy
HJP - For IKARUS there are XML files that essentially communicate from IKARUS to DCS. Are you able to release the F-14 XML ahead of the graphics? This is will allow me to start building my own switches/buttons for my custom UFC. Let me know! McMicha
Hello Guppy, as HJP already wrote, we are currently working on Ikarus and the ExportScript. The new version does not need or use these XML files anymore. The necessary information about the switches is then stored directly in the Ikarus profile file. Therefore we will not provide an XML file for the F-14 now. Simpit Software by SDA "SIMPIT DEVELOPER ASSOCIATION" DCS ExportScript D.A.C. H-J-P
Mmhh, I'd say use the instruments from the F-18 for your planning. The sizes will fit for the instruments and keys. It's just too early to really make a good statement. IRRE_Biluf
Hi H-J-P, I'm trying to make my own export files by parsing the DCS lua files with a Powershell script. I trained on the F-18's files, checking with the available DCSExport files you are providing. For my touchscreen interface I only need to export the switches and the lamps. But when I start to look after the data for the M-2000C, I find only the switches ones. Where the hell did you found the lamps informations in the DCS files ? Great job for Ikarus, I hope the work is going fast ;)
H-J-P
Hi Cariton2001, I think we did everything about the DCS Modelviewer. The LT
Just started out configuring Ikarus, what a great program! I ran into an issue though. I am running a large 4K display with 150% DPI scaling set by Windows. Below my main display are 3 small Cougar MFDs displays combined with a Matrox TripleHead2Go. It gives me a 3840x1024 display in Windows which is below my main monitor. I can't seem to properly move the Cockpit Panel to the bottom display. When I enter "Pos Y" of 1550 or higher, it moves to the bottom display but leaves extra space above the panel. When I enter 1549 or lower, the whole panel moves to the main display. My main display Y resolution is 2160 so it is kind of weird. It seems like a HiDPI handling issue. Any way to solve the issue apart from switching to 100% scaling? (Not really an option as it makes icons really small) Any suggestions? Thanks! Neptuni
Hi, I have just installed Ikarus and it works well (first I installed the network setup, then realized that it wont work with exported viewports so installed it localy) I do appriciate all the work done, its fantastic! One thing missing for the Viggen is the waypoint indicator, otherwise it looks fine, could that be added? And another questions for the Viggen, has there been any discussions implementing the side panels with radar and central computer functions? I’m working on resizing all the instruments to fit my 1600x1200 monitor, and maybe add some graphical elements missing in the cockpit, we have a airforce museum here and there are also som Viggen simulators with real cockpit here in Sweden to look at. Neptuni
Ok, I have managed to add a warning light for reverse thrust and also the missing knob for the HUD light and FR22 radionobs (not working yet..), so it seems fairly easy. One thing I noticed is that the radar warning indicator is of by 180 degrees. Mikael Edited January 3, 2020 by Neptuni
McMicha
Hi, guys, we wish you you all a happy new year and apologies for not hearing from us for so long. @The LT: Thanks for thinking Ikarus was great. We know about the problems with HiDPI scaling, but unfortunately we haven't found a solution yet. @Neptune: I'm glad to hear that you think Ikarus is fantastic. We only ever create a basic profile to show how the gauges can be used. Therefore there will be no profile with the side panels from us. But you can easily create one yourself and share your profile with other users later. Then you can add the missing lamps and switches. There is a problem with the radar warning display, it seems that something has been changed in the game and we didn't notice it. But I have already determined the data and you can change them in your profile. You just have to click on the line "Central indicator" under the tab "Instruments" and then switch to the tab "Instrumentsfunctions". There you change the values in the "DCS ID" column to the following: 451 (rwr 30°) 452 (rwr 90°) 453 (rwr 150°) 454 (rwr 210°) 455 (rwr 270°) 456 (rwr 330°) And now save the profile again. Neptuni
Hi and thanks for the reply. I found images for the information panels for the Viggen in the image library and have started to add more panels:) But the waypoint indicator is still missing and its vital for using the aircraft.
