I haven't bought a module before will that thing work on Steam ?

It will not. Modules bought on steam will work on standalone, but not the other way around. If you want it on steam you will need to wait until it is fully released and out of early access. Generally there is not reason not to use the standalone installer from the DCS website though.

Before, Steam was doing regional prices which were cheaper in lower income countries. Now this is not done anymore, in my opinion there isn't any reason to stay with Steam anymore.

But even though, if you see a better price or a discount on steam you can buy the module and use it in standalone. Not the other way around.
