Open the mission you are about to fly in the mission editor, run the mission and un-pause, wait for the mission to settle, then exit. 2. Go to the campaign menu as usual and fly mission, AI should react now. I will try to keep you updated on this, it is an important issue and we understand the frustration. Please see this topic https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=178955 and check the work around given in post 17. Basically it look likeit works every two mission even though it's not the same mission you are playing.
