Two-Six
I have been having a problem where the mouse look freezes up randomly. Perhaps it started happening after the recent patch. I have a cougar HOTAS using a modified version of vipers HOTAS set-up for the A-10 in DCS. It usually works pretty well, I can use the microstick as a mouse and toggle on clickable_mouse_cockpit on or off and use it to look about the cockpit with either the mouse or the microstick. However it seems to just stop working for as far as I can see no reason at all. The mouse still works and so does the microstick, I can slew the TGP about and stuff with it no problems, just not do a free-look. I can also do a free look using the numberpad keys to look around when its "jammed-up" Any ideas as to why it stops working? Its getting to be very frustrating and almost makes the sim unplayable. Foss
I use the TM Warthog HOTAS and the mouse for clicking switches in pit. In external View (F2) the mouse pans around the plane and wheel controls external view zoom, mouse functions stop working for me sometimes, but mouse in pit still works. Have to Restart DCS until it works again. Bug occurs randomly, can be present at first enter of 3D world, can be present the 2nd time you enter the 3d World (or more, but who has time to fly more than 2 sorties :D) Specs: System: Asus Z170-E, I7 6700K, 16GB DDR4, Asus GTX1070 8GB, 1TB M2 SSD + 2x 250GB SSD,TrackIR, TM Warthog, Saitek Rudder Modules: A-10C, KA-50, Mi-8, UH-1H, FC3, F5E, M2000, AJS37, AV8b, F18C
Two-Six
I am glad its not just me. I was going to go mental testing my HOTAS setup and invariably breaking it trying to get a fix. I hope its sorted out soon.
Dr Zaius
Me too, i thought it a win 10 issue, everything else works ok including using the mouse to operate switches inside the cockipt but For some reason the outside view using the mouse is buggy as hell - are you guys using trackir to move the external view around as well? Two-Six
No TrackIR here..Unfortunately. Its the internal looking-around-the-cockpit-with-the-mouse-thing that doesn't work. I can't say if the outside view locks up as well. I might have a test a bit later on.
Foss
The Problem i posted in this thread was related to all planes external view and seems to be fixed by the latest update. FrRom the Patchlogs: Fixed bug that caused to inoperative of mouse on external view after closing radio menu by selecting 'F12. Exit' item Maybe the Bug from the Threadstarter is something different. I did not notice we are in the A10C Forum. @DR Zaius: yes i use Trackir in External, but tried without too, there was no change. greetings Foss Edited December 18, 2016 by Foss Specs: System: Asus Z170-E, I7 6700K, 16GB DDR4, Asus GTX1070 8GB, 1TB M2 SSD + 2x 250GB SSD,TrackIR, TM Warthog, Saitek Rudder Modules: A-10C, KA-50, Mi-8, UH-1H, FC3, F5E, M2000, AJS37, AV8b, F18C
