Bugeye F16 and F35 HOTAS

Recommended Posts

I discovered Bugeye HOTAS and looks amazing. The target of the company are high end Simmers and desktop military market.

At this moment, they had a portfolio comprised by 2 desktop HOTAS:

AFAIK they are testing a first batch with military users in order to obtain a polished product. First prototypes of this HOTAS was unveiled in march 2016. As they said in FB page, this low cost HOTAS will cost US$2,800.

Military standard Quality and All switches can be mapped, USB 2.0 compatible.

F-35 HOTAS

Released in September 2016. No more info is available ATM.

They are no rival for Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog and CH HOTAS but for Very High-End simmers can be an interesting option. Others can only praise for lowering manufacturing cost in the future. Until then Warthog and CH will continue to be the mainstay of High-End HOTAS.

Yeah they've been around for awhile. They don't sell to the consumer market.

Yeap, the company was founded in 2004 and in 2015 they started to develop Desktop HOTAS.

At this moment they don't sell for consumer market....Don't expect a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, This is for very high end sim consumers...it is an option.

Last I Checked they were a Private Company Selling to Contractors that build Simulators.

They Moved from Proprietary Connections and Controller Cards to USB Interface/Drivers/Software.

But we're Talking $5,000-12,000 for a Joystick, and they only sell to Contracted Companies.

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9)

3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

Things change...world is moving, it's not static. Some people don't understand this fact very well. :D

In FB they said that when they tested his Desktop HOTAS they will start to sell to simmers...At US$2,800 each F-16 HOTAS. We are talking about his future plans (previos plan was started to sell F-16 HOTAS in 2015...so delays are not exclusive of ED :D ).

As I said for home cockpits can be an interesting choice...Again, in the future.:joystick:

Facebook (March, 20):

Q- "Are you guys targeting the home sim market with these or is it priced for the commercial sector?"

A -"Bugeye Technologies Both the F-16 and F-35 ended up with a different assembly for the throttle, so they might end up out of the price range of the consumer market. Everything we produce is developed for the military, but we were hoping that some of it could reach high end sim market".

If the rich grognard simmer has the money... ;)

Maybe theiy don't have the "feel" like simmers expect, since they are made for different public:

Q - 1st lets see how good the mechanical-to-sensoric implementation is without loss in accuracy .. 2nd how the tension is created and feels. Those 2 are always the main aspects and not the fancy looks.

A - Bugeye Technologies: Xyzxk, it will be only as good as the military wants it.

They do in fact sell to public consumers. We had a clan mate buy one. A very VERY thorough background check is done as well as having a deposit of a least 50% of the purchase price. That and they only ship domestically in the United States.

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.
