Logitech G X56 Pro Flight Control System

Recommended Posts

Just saw this joystick pop up in my local electronics store. Seems to be a reworked version of the Saitek X-56. Have any of you guys heard anything about it?

Can't even find it on Logitechs website. Here's the swedish site, most of the info is in english though: http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/datorer_och_tillbehor/257012-logitech_g_x56_pro_flight_control_system

well that's false advertising. that's just the x52 pro.....it's definitely not a reworked x-56, which so stupid since it says its the 52 pro right in the description of the product. i would avoid that.

Logitech haven't started making new flight sticks after acquiring saitek, still going to be a long time away before we see any releases. a lot of places are trying to capitalise on it since logitech bought saitek, despite these still being the same ones built while under madcatz control.

Flaming Cliffs 3 | F-5e | Mirage 2000 | A-10c | Harrier AV-8B

Yeah it does smell a bit fishy... more so because they're also releasing a rebranded X52 alongside the X56. Link: http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/datorer_och_tillbehor/257010-logitech_g_x52_flight_control_system

Seems Logitech bought Saitek recently, they're definitely re-releasing the X-56 under the Logitech G brand.

A few months ago, before the X-56 was released, Saitek asked me to review it and sent me a unit. I gave it a less than favourable review. I have since contacted Logitech to ask if they have made any changes to the X-56 and am still waiting to hear back from them.

I ses. It would be interesting to see if they've actually made any kind of improvement. Though I doubt it, at least for the moment. I'm really looking for a proper alternative to the frustratingly expensive Warthog HOTAS.

They made a mistake on the headline.

Look at the text below.

It's the good old x52 Pro under Logitech colours:

"Logitech G 52 Pro Flight H.O.T.A.S".

Here's the Logitech x56:

Beefed up the prices too. :(

System specs:

Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440)

Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use
