[RESOLVED]DCS has stopped working message

Recommended Posts

Whenever I try to get into some servers, like BUDDY SPIKE, the message "DCS has stopped working" appears.

Sometimes I can close DCS, and sometimes a black screen appears and I only can reset the computer.

Please, I don't know what I must do.

I recently changed the video card and installed an SSD.

not seen this one before.

Is your graphics driver up to date, I would consider a fresh install of your driver to see if it helps

also try a fresh dcs folder in saved games

Rename C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS ( keep it as a backup, your controls folder can be moved to the new one )

restart DCS redo your settings

let us know how you get on

Did I get it right? I must recreate the DCS folder in saved games.

My driver is a latest version

if you rename the old one, dcs will create a new one when you start it again

Worked, I can enter the Blue Flag campaign without errors.

1) I completely uninstalled the video drivers through windows security mode (F8), I used Guru3d's DDU tool.

2) I cleaned the Windows 10 registry.

3) I deleted the DCS folder on users.

I have seen that it has a Config folder in DCS and inside it the Input folder, can I copy it into the new DCS folder? Those are the joystik settings, right?

In MissionEditor there are several .lua files, which ones should I copy? (Logbook ok, modules too ?, options? Settings? Etc)

I forgot to say, the driver I installed now was a slightly older version.

Do you have any idea what might have happened?

I'm getting close to the problem.

I have been replacing the files and testing every replacement.

Everything was fine, but when replacing the file "optios.lua" in the "Config" folder the problem returned.

It remains to know which configuration is generating this bug.
