WildBillKelsoe
Hi, I'd like to change the shape of trigger zone from circle to square or triangle or other custom shape. Is it possible in dcsw or using lua? I'd like a 50 km x 25 km rectangle zone as trigger zone for a mission that I am creating. ESAc_matador
Yep. By entering the coordenates, or better put an aircraft inactive and get the points, to define an area. Check mist. Hoggit page is down.
Steggles
Hoggit page is back up. Check out MIST. You can place a late activated group and use their waypoints as a zone. -16AGR- 16th Air Guards Regiment is always looking for pilots - http://www.16agr.com EWRS - Early Warning Radar Script Specs: Gigabyte Sniper Z5-S Intel i5-4670k 3.4GHz OC'd 3.9GHz w/ Thermaltake 120mm Water 3.0 Pro Liquid CPU Cooler 16GB RAM Gigabyte GTX 1080 TM Hotas Warthog: SN: 06976 Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals TrackIR5 with TrackClipPro & Oculus Rift 2x 28" 4k UHD Monitors (3840x2160 each) + 1280x1024

ESAc_matador
I think so. I took a while to learn... i started from Zero, and now I can do pretty funny scripts. If you are learning from zero.... learn.... Loops, for i, var in pairs (table).... do. (Where table = {=var}) Conditions If x==b then (== is equal, = as sing values take care!) .... end Functions Use as many mist functions as starting point, read the Mist manual. It has really helpfull functions.the are awesome. Good exercice is to see what they do, so go to the Mist file and see how they are build. Do not hesitate in asking... but please, check in the forum first, and try to see others script. Most of the simple snipets are done and you will just need to do a modification. Also have a look at the MOOSE, overwhelming at first but really good for building missions. Enjoy!
WildBillKelsoe
ah thank you but still need to understand components of the language like function calls, string structure, syntax, etc.. I never did any of this before. yes, if youre referring to scripts library I already checked it. its to these guys that makes our lives easier so thanks.
