Veritech
Given the fact that most of the modules that we have are Cold War era, I think we are missing the most feared WWIII scenario: an Soviet invasion of West Germany through the Fulda Gap. Anybody that has read Cold War Technothrillers (Red Army, Red Storm Rising, Team Yankee) would love to, what do you guys think? 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "Alis Aquilae Aut Pax Aut Bellum" Veritech's DCS YouTube Channel

QuiGon
I will just quote myselfe from another thread: A 1980s Fulda Gap map would be incredible awesome!! Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! GeorgeLKMT
I just want something green, not a desert with occasional town. I don't like sand, it's coarse and irritating and it gets everywhere. That's why I'm looking forward to Caucasus update, although another map would be great. ■ L-39C/ZA Czech cockpit mod ■ My DCS skins ■
Cunctator
A Fulda gap map would be the natural theater for the bulk of the current planeset. A lot of work, to faithfully represent densely settled western Germany, but also with lots of highly detailed maps and geodata available for all periods of aviation. Kev2go
Would be really nice. Not as much boring sand as Nevada and Hormus. :music_whistling: well to be fair Nevada and straight of Hurmuz are important in thier own way, arguably more so because Nevada for red flag and training campaigns, and Straight of Horumus for many middle eastern conflicts that actually happened, not to mention Carrier Operations for the upcoming F18 and F14 on USS Nimitz Class carriers. i agree that theaters that were actually subject to actual conflicts, vs "what if alternate history" , real conflict zones very much take precedence in my book. so while i do want to see fulda gap, But please do not underplay the importance ( or priority) of having the Straight of Hormuz first over the fulda gap. oH and last time i checked nevada isnt all flat boring sand. Note many rugged terrains, mountainous areas , plus a big modern city known as Las Vegas, as well as landmarks like the hoover dam, plus there are water sources too, such as the Colorado river & lake mead. NeilWillis
I'd not say no to any reasonably relevant map. North German plains or Fulda, the Baltic states, one of the flanks of NATO in Turkey or Norway. I guess a European theatre cold war setting would just need to have sufficient bases etc to make it interesting? I guess before too long, we're bound to get something appropriate.
