Andryl
1.5.5 missing textures Hi everyone, i've just updated to 1.5.5. and noticed that in the encyclopedia some objects have missing textures. I've already tried to disable all mods (btw, they were already disabled while updating) and to run a repair, but no joy at all. Any clue? Is it already known? Here it is an example: EDIT: just checked: in the sim textures are ok, they only miss in the encyclopedia Edited November 12, 2016 by Andryl ASUS Z170 PRO Gaming || i7x6700K@4.6GHz || Noctua NH-U14S || Corsair16GB DDR4 - 3000MHz || Asus Strix GTX-1080 TI-11GB || TrackIr 5Pro || Saitek x-55 Rhino || Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals || Win10 pro

SkateZilla
There are 2 Variations of this Anomaly: -White Boxes where Bort Numbers are Located -White Sections of Aircraft (WING, TAIL, FUSELAGE) These are Caused by Skins that use "EMPTY.TGA" In the Description File of Addons/3rd Party Liveries/Skins. For Aircraft Liveries that Use Empty.tga in the Bort Numbers, you'll see white boxes where the Bort numbers are. For Aircraft Liveries that use empty.tga in the decals layer (ie F-15s), you'll see it on large sections of the Aircraft. Delete Any Instances of EMPTY.TGA from any Livery Folders and Change EMPTY.TGA to EMPTY in the Description LUA Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

SkateZilla
DCS does not pay us to fix your mistakes. Bug fixes, that's what they have to do DCS Evolved beyond using the Empty TGA, The Base DCS Install does not have any EMPTY.TGA FILES, Nor to any of the Stock Liveries Description.lua Files Make calls for Empty.TGA From 1.5.5+ Deleting/Editing any Calls to EMPTY.TGA (To EMPTY) and Deleting any Instances of EMPTY.TGA itself resolves the issue. This should only apply to 3rd Party Skins/Mods. So You are not Fixing DCS's Mistakes, you are updating 3rd Party Mods that were not updated by the author themselves. SkateZilla
So you're expecting us to take several hours to delete all Empty.Tga files and edit every single livery description (in my case more than hundred for sure)? The ONLY Liveries that would contain EMPTY.TGA are 3rd party Liveries, nothing in the DCS Base Install Contains EMPTY.TGA It is not Eagle Dynamics Responsibility to Update or Maintain 3rd Party Applications or Mods, That Responsibility falls on the Original Author. Takes like 2 minutes Tops for a Average user. Open Notepad++, Press CTRL+SHIFT+F To Bring Up Find In Files menu, Find What: "EMPTY.TGA" Replace With: "EMPTY" Filters: *.lua Directory: SET TO your Base /DCSWORLD/ Folder or your /Saved Games/ Liveries Folder if they are located there. Search Mode Normal Check Box for Subfolder Click Replace In Files... and Done. copy the empty.png to any livery that contained the empty.tga Start, My Computer, Navigate to your Base /DCS World/ Folder in the Search box Type "empty.tga" Let it Search, Delete any copies it found.
