VSN flyable aircraft mods

Recommended Posts

Guys, would it be possible to use the F16 / F18 cockpit, for those mods ?

No. The exterior models are part of the base game. The cockpits are not. If they used the cockpits, only people who owned those aircraft could use them. Just like using THESE require people own FC3.

i have couple FC3 aircraft f15 and su27 and running latest version of dcs

Having the separate FC aircrafts doesnt work for this Mod, you must have the complete FC3 Module.

Ah ok thanks for the reply

 ... wait for the Xmas Sale and purchase the FC3 then ... the same happened to me, tough fortunately I had purchased only a single module (the A-10A). Then you will be able to use this gorgeous Mod:

Hi,

I downloaded the Tornado, extracted the file, and placed the VSN_Tornado in to the Mods-Aircraft folder in DCS open beta. I can add the plane as client to missions but I cannot fly it, only observe it in external player.

On the installed aircraft list VSN_Tornado is listed, but I can even select it in the setting menu to bind controls. I am unsure how to resolve this? I do have FC3 installed, and I ran the su2t avionics cmd file in the folder.

I don't have FC, but I do have the f15C and A10A modules. Is there a way to get the Tornado flyable with just the A10A pit?

No, you need FC3.

Hi guys,

FYI I just found out that with the latest OpenBeta patch (2.5.6) the F-104G is flyable (previously I could only use as an AI) if you have the F-15 FC3 module. So you do not need the whole FC package.

I have a question about adding liveries: In the "Textures" folder there are 2 subfolders (one for each F-104 variant) named VSN_F104G.zip and VSN_F104S.zip which contain some textures for extra liveries. These liveries come in a single .dds file (versus the 6 .dds files of the textures found in the "Liveries" folder)

How can I use them? Is a skin from the S version usable with the G version? (asking cause the G version is the only one that works for me)

Thanks
