F-5E Livery-Thread

Does anybody know a way to add paint to the body part of the nozzle? (not the split end).

I haven't seen it on any of the livery's here (all of them use metalic nozzles).

Because changing it in the tail texture does not change anything on that part. It still uses the metallic texture from the textures zip (I tried overwriting it inside the zip and it worked, but I want to do it for a single livery, not all of them :) ).

Or was the painted nozzle only part of the NF-5 and not F-5? (I have seen it on most Dutch NF-5's and the Turkish ones, but not on F-5's).

Copy the file from the zip to your livery folder, and add a line in your description.lua with the correct material name, texture file name and "false" in the end. See these two posts for info on how to find the material names from the EDM-model:

decrease blue channel in specular map so it decreases the reflection.

Well, I had a majority of the nose area done, and then the crap I was hoping to avoid happened.. lol..

Power went out for a minute, but UPS Battery said overload and shut everything off, which corrupted the PSD File for the Nose and now it wont open..

lol, time to start over...

I Did manage to Re-do the Base paint Layers again, but saved and shut the system off, to be safe,

if the UPS doesnt wanna do it's job, then I'm not gonna risk it, I'm wondering why it's saying overloaded when it's barely using 25% of it's output, but that's something to figure out later.

One of the HDD's did sound like it was having issues keeping at RPM as well.

360 Paths, 2144 Vertices Down,

-Wing Textures Done,

-Stabilizer Textures Done,

-Top Rear Fuselage Done,

-Left Side Rear Fuselage Done,

-Bottom Rear Fuselage Done,

-Right Side Rear Fuselage Done,

-Nose Base Paint Done,

-Started Re-Drawing Stripes Again.

Due to Power Issues, the Work I had Done Friday Night/Saturday Morning was lost to a brown out that shutoff my system abruptly, damaged the system's battery backup unit, and corrupting the PSD for the Nose Section.

Late Saturday Night I started the nose section again and worked on it for a few hours today after doing home inspection.

The Overall Base Paint is done (Orange/White Base), I Started Re-Drawing the Paths for the stipes, as well as the Dark Orange Accents.

I Hope to finish the nose art, stripes and decals this week, leaving all weekend for fine tuning and adjustments, painting misc parts that still haven't been painted, etc.
