Imagine the geopolitical implications if Al-Bhundee got his hands on a piece of metal with a few lights and switches on it - doesn't bear thinking about :D

Yeah think off all those Tomcats chopped up at the boneyard and there equipment destroyed just to prevent the Iranians from having spare parts for an aircraft so out dated and heavily modified by the Russians there is no point. I can understand destroying and or removing classified material on the aircraft or anything that would help update their Tomcats, but how many of them are really airworthy. I think the last report was maybe 40 of them or so.

I got this for £50 on eBay, 1974 marked Altimeter, very similar model to the F14A/B :) Might attempt to get it hooked up.. but otherwise its a nice aviation artifact!

I know that the button marked #8 on the photo of the RIO Computer Address Panel is not functional ingame, but can anyone read what the legend is? It looks like TUNE OSB or something to me, but I hope someone who has better info, Mk-1 Eyeballs, or display can tell me exactly what it says. Thanks.

iF ANY OF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A LASER CUTTER OR CNC AND WANT VECTOR DRAWINGS OF THE PANELS AND SUCH, i HAVE QUITE A NUMBER DONE USING INKSCAPE OR lASER DRAW SOFTWARE. OOPS, sorry for the CAP locks, just finished working on the Armament panel and a few others for the rear pit. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with that suits their needs. I have a few trials in Sketchup, but I just do not feel like paying for it and am not sure what can be done with those free version files yet.

Made this today, proof of concept. Might as well make something useful instead of a toy boat with my first 3D print. Dimensions are TLAR...

Started on the AFCS panel, I don't have room for a cockpit so I'll concentrate on the panels I use a lot

Hi, that looks good :)

Any chance I could have the measurements? :) I can give you the ACM panel measurements.

Panel: 9.75 " x 4.00"

Bottom of the panel is 9.00". Angles come in at 3.25" from top

Cuts for Master arm and ACM switch is 1.5" x 2.0"

~2.75" from left/right edge for Gun/Prep button.

Drawing measurements are a mix of mm and inches, sorry!

I just guessed my dimensions based on a 5.75" standard width and then used the NATOPS diagram to scale the rest. It's probably not all that accurate ;)

I can dimension the model if you want though ?

A little out of my price range, but if I ever see it less than $10k, I'd snag it...

That would be great, thanks. My estimate is 4.25"x 5.75".

Funny thing is I took some screenshots from the cockpit, and at a certain zoom they're almost 1:1!
