Formation Flight

Recently, I've devoted my spare time to creating a virtual aerobatics group for the F-15. So far it's going great, we're practicing turns, loops, all sorts of fun stuff in formation... My question is this: does anyone know of any documentation for different formations that we can fly in? I've found tons of formations online, but it seems that the same formation might have two different names. Does anyone have a good reference point for me to go off of?

I apologize greatly if I've missed something, but I'm almost certain this wasn't formation flight. I'm looking for formations, not solo acts. Again, if I missed something, please let me know, but I am looking for more of a 4-ship or 8-ship approach to an airshow.

USAF Thunderbirds display team routine from 2015 which includes both group formation and solo elements. Fast forwards to 19:45 for the start of the action.

Hey Skydog...not sure if you will ever find a definitive set "guide" that sets a standard for what everyone calls different things. But here are some links I found with a quick search:
